Choose a Pot: Find a large pot or vessel that can fully submerge the ham. Add Liquid: Place the ham in the pot and cover it with enough water 
to be at least an inch over the top of the ham. 
immer the Ham Heat the water to a temperature between 180-185°F. Do not boil the water, as it will damage the ham's surface. 
Simmer Time: Cook the ham at a slow simmer for about 20-25 minutes per pound. For example, a 15-pound ham might take about 4-5 hours
Cool and Rest Remove from heat Once the ham reaches an internal temperature of 155°F, remove it from the heat. 
Rest: Let the ham rest in the pot or on a rack for a short period before serving
